This listing is for an original multimedia painting of your pet (alcohol inks, copic markers, chalk pens, gel pens, and more). All species accepted (yes, even exotic and taxidermy pets!). Please MESSAGE ME BEFORE checking out with a photo of your pet and what standard size you want your original piece to be (sizes include 5x7", A3, and A4 see variances below).The piece pictured is my own pet cat, Spot, which is what you will get with the "print" and "hand-embellished print" options. It's about 8x10". A matted print will be bagged with a custom mat (you may choose a color but if you don't specify the default is baby blue with a white core, pictures coming soon)! Embellishments cost +$15 and matting is +$10 for all prints.Prints of "Spot in her Favorite Window Seat" are 5"x8" of an original alcohol ink and chalk pen painting crafted by me, Kaytiebug. Options include print only (orignal NFS). Sorry, I do not sell prints of people's pets... anything other than Spot the cat is just an example. I make a limited number of prints (25 regular, 10 embellished) for each of my pieces, so the back of the piece is numbered. Signing by request; all pieces are initialed.

Ink Your Pet Custom Alcohol Ink + "Spot the Cat in Her Favorite Window Seat"
THE BASICS
Once you've let me know you'd like a pet portrait and send me reference photos/videos, the process can begin. I'm happy to do fantasy-colored or fantasy-backgrounds/accessories. I am capable of painting pretty much any animal except fish (still practicing aquatic animals), including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, chinchillas, mice, rats, and even exotic pets like monkeys and lemurs.
Portraits normally take 8-12 weeks to complete from the date we choose a refernece photo, depending on the size and complexity (i.e. number of subjects). If you must have your portrait by a specific day, please let me know up front. I can offer rush creation for an additional fee, but please keep in mind the minimum from start to finish is still 4+ weeks and very much dependant on consistent communication from all parties involved. The faster the communication, the sooner I can get started.
THE PROCESS
1. Contact me via the "Contact Us" page or KattyCandlesandJewelry.com to let us know you'd like a custom portrait!
2. Send me pictures (minimum of two, but the more the merrier. Videos really help too!).
3. Confirm the primary composition of your portrait and any special requests (text, accessories, etc.).
4. Place your order via this page.
5. I will draw a basic sketch in pencil and e-mail it to you for confirmation.
6. You confirm the composition based on the pencil drawing and let me know if you'd like any minor changes.
7. I start painting, sending you process photos every week upon request.
8. You confirm the painting and let me know if you'd like any other minor changes.
9. I e-mail you a final scan of the painting and send the original painting to you.
WHAT YOU GET
- The original alcohol ink and a custom-cut mat bagged and boarded (ready to hang as is or to frame)
- High-resolution scan so you can make your own prints (for gift purposes only, please do not resell)
- Web file with my watermark (if you share any images online, regardless of the platform, please include my watermark)
- The creative rights to your pets image. As the creator I do reserve the rights to include your pet's portrait in my portfolio, but I will not reprint the portrait for resale without your explicit consent, which may be revoked at any time (ie if at first you agree I can make and sell prints of your pet but later decide you don't want me to, that's totally fine and I will cease print making).
SHIPPING
Custom protraits are packed and shipped with the utmost care, tracking, and insurance via USPS. All materials are archival and acid free to prevent damage overtime, and sealed with multiple layers to protect it from UV light whether displayed indoors or outdoors.
